I have RH 7.3 on my old 486; 810 mb hdd, 24mb ram, no Xwindows, works a
treat. RH 7.2 on P120 laptop about the same hdd size, 32mb ram, Xwindow
& lightweight wm (no gnome, kde). Bit slow but works well.

There are a few gotchas however. RH expects 128mb swap space. Create
smaller swap partition, let rh create swap file to make up the 128mb during
a minimal install. Select individual packages if you want, but make sure
your total size is well below the space you think you have. The install
seems to run out of room and crash when hdd space is cut a bit fine. Kill
swap file then install whatever you didn't have room for, but watch out for
dependencies. <groan> why can't rpm work like ap-get ?
