AFAIK, ext3 patches really don't like non-hardware RAID and 2.2.x patches
are only up to 0.0.7a - not exactly up to date.
Maybe for rescue purposes 2.4.x would be useful. It's is only for getting
the system up, not running your box in it's normal state, isn't it?
