Hear, hear! to the www.linuxdoc.org, can you say "How To" ?

I still have a very dog eared "Running Linux" by O'Riely (they also make the
Nutshell books???) which taught me everything i know. (Which isn't much, but
it's still a good book)

You will soon learn here that Google (www.google.com) is your
friend. Google will help you find many online tutorials, info sheets, and
special 'how to do it' sheets called HOWTO's, on a large variety of
subjects with regards to linux. You may like to start at
http://www.linuxdoc.org/ and see if you can pick a spot to start?
I like to keep my "Linux in a Nutshell" book handy, just to make sure I do
get the syntax correct.

One page to get you started - http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/commands/
Enjoy :)

regards,
   Nathan

Can't make out my sig file? Try using a "fixed-width font"
