You can get them both to communicate with the Samba server, just that Win95
has to be using encrypted passwords as well.. and this set different by
default depending which version of Windows 95 it is that you are using....
I'd suggest reading the "ENCRYPTION.txt" file that comes with the Samba
source tree.

I think PLUG has regular meetings, which are usually announced on this list
beforehand as to when they are going to happen, they are probably also on
the PLUG web site - www.plug.linux.org.au .  I don't go due to a slight
distance problem, about 2200kms (Broome) :).
