Make the password fields in both /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow for the user in 
question empty.

Or install Mandrake, which will offer you passwordless on-boot login for one 
user when you install it. (-:

An alternate, more secure proposal: leave the passwords alone and in 
/etc/inittab put...

wk:4:respawn:/bin/su - webuser -c startx

Now type...

init q
init 4

...and see what happens (untested, YMMV).
