Howdy Pluggers,
Just added a new server to the network that filters mail for all the usuall suspects and looking through the logs found this:

Mar 13 12:43:51 mailscan named[27627]: client 203.188.150.10#1: no matching view in class 'CLASS256'
Mar 13 12:58:52 mailscan named[27627]: client 203.188.150.10#137: no matching view in class 'CLASS256'
Mar 13 14:28:56 mailscan named[27627]: client 203.188.150.10#137: no matching view in class 'CLASS256'

Tried googling it and the majority of answers were aliong the lines of:

It means you've got a broken client that doesn't construct proper DNS
queries. This client is using an undefined and invalid class number
for its queries (256) instead of IN - class 1 - which is pretty much
the only valid class for DNS queries. You can ignore the message, but
it would be better to get proper DNS software on the client that's
making these faulty requests.

#1. Nowhere does it suggest what client software is needed (do they need thier own dns server: bind?)
The ip address it refers to is an ISDN account of ours.

Cheers
