[plug] MP3 CD format

Folks,

I'd like to put some MP3 alblums on CD, and have it work on as many
hardware players as possible.
A quick search with google suggests there is no real standard for
this. How does this sound:

- Single CD track with an iso9660 filesystem
- both rock-ridge and Jolet extensions for long file-name
  ( mkisofs -r -J )
- /artist/album/01track_name.mp3
   /artist-album.m3u as created by 'grip'

Anything else you should put on there?
Do DVD players (which claim MP3 capability) understand the .m3u playlists?
Should I put all those M3U files in a sub-dir ?

I have found 'grip' to be a nice front end for cdparanoia/lame/cddb/id3
except that it silently ignores errors in ripping or compression.
Any better suggestions? (Apart from getting a bigger hard disk so the
errors dont occur :-) )
