[plug] mod-ssl

G'Day pluggers,
    Quick question - can mod-ssl for apache be used with a dynamic ip or does it
require a resolvable domain name? I've started using Imp webmail from the Horde
set of packages. I want to be able to login over https to protect my username
and password (especially when I'm at uni). At the moment I get a "Certificate
does not match" type error. Is this because I don't have a domain associated
with the server?
