I actually by RealTek 8139C based boards in preference to Netgear. Intel
EEPro I don't get to play with sadly.
RealTek tend to be very well behaved, very compatable, and perform quite
well.
OTOH the 8029 is a dog, stay away - ESPECIALLY for multi-homed hosts.
*aarggh*.
I reccomend the new-ish AOpen NICs, they're a very good 8139C
implementation.
