Not with XP Pro or Home but it is possible with Win 2000 server or NT
server. If you want to live on the bleeding edge it is also possible with M$
.NET server which is available in some beta forms depending on how well you
are _connected_.

For sure with Samba and possibly winbind (depending on weather you have MS
servers in your environment).  And why would you want to do it any other
way. With the soon to be released Samba 3.0 you can have full ADS support
and authenticate all your boxen against a true open source heterogenous
solution !!!
