[plug] Samba

I have a little problem in Samba, if anyone is up to speed with this, in RH7.1.

The file /etc/samba/smbusers has a list of smb users against unix users.

Only the users against root can see the Samba shares on the Samba server,
though others can see the rest of the network (seeing machines on an SMB
network means getting the shares data from the browse master, which is the
Samba server).

smb.conf names a non-root user as the "guest", and all the shares on the Samba
server are "guest = yes" and all the file permissions on the shares are set to
the guest user/group. I even set security to "share" rather than "user".

But still most users cannot see the server shares.

Any ideas?

TIA

Kevin.
