Nah, don't worry about it. Its more a notice than an error anyway. Once 
your X session has started, messages will be logged to the terminal from 
some programs, the xserver, etc, so you can see some weirdness there 
without needing to worry.

FYI, RENDER is an Xserver extension (XFree86 only?) in XFree86-4.x.x 
that among other things enables the use of antialiased text. Not all X 
drivers support it, and only version 4.x servers. Every common program 
that looks for it will just fall back on the normal method, I've never 
found any that die if they fail to find it yet. KDE2 apps all use the 
RENDER extension to do their antialiased type.
