Publisher doesn't support PDF export AFAIK, you need Adobe Acrobat or 
another PDF processor like GhostScript.

I only just found out that Publisher exports PostScript natively (w/o 
AdobePS drivers). None of the numbnuts who I've had to deal with had the 
foggiest idea (can you say RTFM - its in the help apparently). Of 
course, I dont' have publisher so I couldn't check myself.

I'm writing a "Getting useful info out of publisher" howto for the 
POST's website now, documenting using Acrobat (strongly preferred), 
GhostScript (anybody who can use gs under windows probably wouldn't be 
caught dead using Publisher, but hey) and PostScript export.
