Ach, bugger - I spoke too soon. Just ssh'd in to work and it looks like 
the ppp uptime is 3 1/2 hours :-(
That said, no outages IN BUSINESS HOURS over the last few days, which is 
a massive improvement from the first week I was on bliink (where the 
service went down for 2 - 4 hours every morning starting 8 - 10 o'clock).
