I've found it dies in a hurry if you have multiple Xservers running on 
the same card but different vts, too. It'd be nice - I could say to my 
various housemates "if the screen is locked just hit CTL-ALT-F8 to get a 
login"... but no, not with NVidia drivers it appears.

Enlightenment is very good under Xinerama... once recompiled to support 
it since the Debian defaulkt build doesn't.

Also, wrt to the (unrelated) comments on rxvt problems, I've found my 
fix - man rxvt. I was quoting the argument to -e and it didn't like that 
_at_ _all_ - it want's separate arguments eg
rxvt -e telnet uk
not
rxvt -e "telnet uk"

still, it should probably complain rather than die mysteriously.
