Ive got a little issue with debian..

How do you remove a home spun kernel package from the "to do" list?

I had a power failure while installing the package. It is not installed, so 
it wont uninstall, but I can't see how you remove it from the pending list..

I have since rebuilt the kernel and it is fine, but the old kernel package 
keeps popping up when I update/upgrade the machine.. Swearing at it loudly 
does not seem to work.

Anyone got somw wise words?
