Or in fact (leading '/') :

   v_res1=/usr/local/sbin/DailModem

since it's not always a good idea to assume the current directory when the
function doesn't explicitly set it.

Just wondering why the following does not work:

function comstrt {

v_res1=sr/local/sbin/DialModem

v_res2=Fw

echo $v_res1

echo $v_res2

What happens is the script runs but the modem does not dial-up, yet if I
issue the command manually it dials.  Do I have to enter some kind of
return/enter char to make initialize it?
