Simple Computing (now Netcom) Netexpress 56 external modem has worked
like a charm, straight out of the box, with all distro's of Linux I have
used over the past few years including RedHat 6.0/6.5/7.1/7.3, Mandrake
8.0/8.1/8.2/9 rc1 and Debian Woody. Connects first time every time, and
never suffered from dropouts etc. Cost was aprox. $150, but that was
some time ago.
