Or, if you're a GNOME user. Nautilus has built in SMB browsing.

Just type smb:// to see all the computers in the current workgroup (at
least in Gnome 1.4, it doesn't seem to be working in Gnome 2). It works
much the same as network neighbourhood does. In fact, Nautilus is meant
to be able to handle most things like that seemlessly (I suspect I have
broken my Nautilus installation).

Otherwise, I was always quite fond of xsmbrowser
