Yep Just tried it on RedHat 9.
http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/1.0-4349/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.run

Took 30 secs to get my Nvidia drivers to work. It took longer to
download it and I was getting 100 kB/s.
Just execute the file as root. Change your XF86Config file
driver "nv"
to
driver "nvidia"
restart x

At least that was all I did.

Regards

Interesting move. Has anyone tried it? Does it support platforms which use the
    .tgz source release?

An auto-updating kernel module is a scary concept. ^_^
