Thanks, no I don't have previous version of ximian.  I am using redhat9,
the following is query from your last e-mail

[root at localhost jay]# rpm -qa | grep -i glibc
glibc-devel-2.3.2-11.9
glibc-common-2.3.2-11.9
glibc-2.3.2-11.9
glibc-kernheaders-2.4-8.10
