I had the same problem. But then I downloaded the updates, which included
a new kernel build, and source:   kernel-source-2.4.22-21mdk.i586.rpm

You probably should install the updates anyway. I can put them on a CD if
you like. But 40MB is only a couple of hours on dialup, if you dont want
the rest.
