The problem here is that much of his bodyguard were trained by the
British SAS, and actually know what they are doing.  The brits did a lot
of this sort of thing in the seventies and eighties, particularly after
their outstanding display at the Iranian embassy siege.  They used the
comparison between that and the US attempt to rescue their hostages in
Iran to great advantage for political influence.
