This a bit OT but my preferred textual browser is w3m and its history
file is so simple that zsh has a command-line completer for it. That is:

% w3m http://www.go<tab>
% w3m http://www.google.com.au/

You could probably adjust it to accept partial hostnames like:

% w3m go<tab>
% w3m http://www.google.com.au/

(In the fashion of Mozilla's completion.)

Something for me to do this weekend.
