[plug] Mandrake on the rocks?

I note that, from http://linuxtoday.com, and following the successive 
links, Mandrakesoft has been voluntarily declared bankrupt on 15 
January in france.

>From my understanding, Mandrake Linux is one of the top three 
distributions, in terms of popularity.

Whatever people may think of other distributions than the 
distribution(s) they favour (as in "distro wars"), I am confident that 
this will sadden most Linux users.
