PPPD must leave an error?

If it dies silently, you might be suffering the same problem I did with a
RH7.3 mail server.

I found that daemons were simply disappearing, leaving absolutely no traces in
the logs. 

Supposedly (I think Leon mightve told me) RH 7.3 suffers from a slightly dodgy
GLIBC or something.

I got around it by upgrading :D
