DEAR ALLIES,

	Normally I do not like to post vendor-specific matters in an Open Source
venue, but I am hoping to to do the Red Hat 253 [Network Admin & Security]
course in PERTH  on March 10-13 at Open Systems in Nedlands. The next RHCE
exam is on the 28th. March at the same venue.

	Unfortunetely, if there are insuffient numbers for the Perth classes, they
can be cancelled or postponed, so if any Perth /WA people  are interested,
please sign up. RED HAT has just brought out the RED HAT CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN
 level certification, which is a subset of the full RHCE requirements. This
makes the $950 RHCE exam a little less intimidating, as you can still qualify
for the RHCT if you meet the requirements for RHCT while doing the RHCE exam.

	Anyway, if you are interested check out the RED HAT website. Cross
certification seems to be the thing to do these days, especially  if you like
to be paid [occassionally] for your IT skills.

	I am also interested in a "study buddy" for the RHCE exam.  The exam is
fairly tough, but hands on, so when you pass you know that you have a number
of real-world skills that an employer will recognise. Only sixty percent of
candidates pass the exam, so I only want to study with people who will take
the exam seriously.
