[plug] ide-scsi quirks?

Hello, 
 
I just setup my ide cd-burner under Bozai Linux (formally known as mini-Woody) 
 
I tried burning a bonzai Linux iso using cdrecord and it worked fine, however, 
I do get some error messages. If possible I would like to get to the bottom of 
these and clear them up. 
 
The first message comes at boot and it is ~ : 
 
kmod failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi-hostadaptaer, errno=2 
 
cdrecord -scanbus gives:

cdrecord: Warning: controller returns  wrong size for CD capabilties page.  
 
 
I get a similar warning when burning a cd. I'm using 2.4.20
