I'm not using any non-default GTK themes and it's not complaining about
missing libraries so I'd be surprised if that was the problem - and as I
mentioned in my second message everything looks okay running inside Xvnc
which suggests it's an X server issue ... only it can't be an X server
issue 'cos every toolkit but GTK works, so it's left me bewildered.
