If this whole SCO black cloud has a silver lining then it must be that
it has brought the Linux community closer together and even inspired
many of us to learn more about legal issues related to licenses, patents
and IP and even gain further understanding of the industry. 

I especially liked the insight into software patents and comparing them
to nuclear weapons. Still the companies that have the most to lose are
those that get most of their business from actually selling software.

Another thing is that the entire UNIX family may actually (one day) be
released under GPL or another free license such as the BSD license. This
would be a great day for humanity indeed.
