Saw a great use for this. You introduce faults into the UML image (like 
disk failures or scrambled pages of RAM) and see what happens. You 
redesign your applications to cope. Kind of like Bomber on dear old 
Murphy (poke random word into monitor, which was what Alpha Micro 
called a kernel), but more flexible.
