CODA perhaps?  I briefly had a look at it six+ months ago in response to
some kind suggestions from PLUG members, when I was asking about high
availability systems.   Soon I will have some hardware upon which I can
"play" with this technology.  In my case I have physically distributed
sites where I'd like to place my servers.  I have to be bandwidth-friendly
so, apart from the initial hit while they sync up, I got the impression
that CODA was quite meagre on resources.   Not having implemented it yet,
I am very willing to be corrected :-)
