After the installation of php4, apache, mysql and phpmyadmin.  I cannot
get phpmyadmin to bring up the mysql database.  
What I've done so far:
1) created a test.php file with <? phpinfo() ?> and ran this all seems
okay

2) test mysql with both administrators usrid and developer usrid. Both
worked fine from the CLI.

Error msg when trying to run from web browser:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in
/var/www/html/phpMyAdmin/lib.inc.php3 on line 257

This line refers to the hostname, port number, username and password. 
This info is in the /var/www/html/phpMyAdmin/config.inc.php3 file.

512MB DDR Memory
60GB HDD (partitioned into 50MB /boot; 3.5GB /; and remainer in /var
(this is where the database files will reside).

RHL7.3 (installed as server with SQL Database as Type)
PHP-4.1.2-7.3.6
MySQL-3.53.54a-3.73
Apache-1.3.27-2
phpMyAdmin-2.1.0-1

All software patched to latest version available via RPM.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
