[plug] ftp login problem

Thanks for the response but that did not work.  In /etc/hosts.allow :
in.ftpd 192.168.1.0 : allow
I had to use the ": allow" or  I would get an error message stating missing ":"

still not able to login though.

/etc/hosts.allow should have this line in it

in.ftpd 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0
----------

provided your local network has address of 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.255
