Someone mentioned ps2pdf, which is probably a GhostScript utility, but
there should be pdf2pdf, too. ps2pdf should theoretically produce PDFs
quite alright (since it is possible to convert the most common semantics
from one to the other) so I'm not sure why GhostScript sometimes
produces huge PDF files.
