Does `dpkg -l fam` indicate that you have fam installed? If so, and you
go `apt-cache showpkg fam`, does the 'Reverse Depends' section list any
package that are already installed? Does the 'Versions' section indicate
where the package came from and what version is claimed (did it come
from Debian)?
