[plug] "Adding" images - suggestions?

I even use it to grab windows screenshots from a win4lin session when 
required. I discovered xv years ago when someone here pointed me at it, 
it and compupic have become my swiss army knife of image management.

Gimp still does my head in, I need to learn to drive it properly though.
