[plug] Scanners

 Hi,
 A question to those who know scanners
 Wanted a reasonable good quality scanner (usb) running Sane software, under
 Linux this seems to be the correct software to use.
 The present scanner uses scsi(isa) cards driven with Sane software,
 the computer on which the scanner is required has only pci & usb ports.   
 The OS will most likely be Debian Sarge.
 The material to be scanned will mostly be Computer books, manuals, photo's etc. 
 Where can one obtain such a machine at a good price, (it does not have to be bran 
 spanking new).
 Someone out there may have a machine that is no longer being utilized.
