As noted the skyline is from www.perthwa.com.au, straight off the home
page. I don't know if that is a live feed or just a static image. It's
probably copyright (the site is, at least) so James is right, its
probalby illegal, possibly even wrong :-) I mainly used it because I'd
looked at it the other day so I knew it was there.
So if someone has, or wants to find or create (anyone in South Perth?),
a non-copyright or PD photo of the Perth skyline, post it up or email it
to me off-list (ben at leftclick.com.au) and I'll replace it.
Either that or, PLUG being a NPO, maybe someone could kindly ask
permission (posthumously as it is) from the website owners to "borrow"
the image.
I take it Tux does not have the same legal problem?
Greyscale can be easily achieved, once the colour version is finalised.
My biggest question is, how are people going to put their names on their
tags, unless they have sodipodi, or some other compatible SVG editor?
Possibly we could have some sort of script that just plugs (!) the name
straight into the SVG file, like a kind of "mail merge" but for SVG
images..? Perl would be a goer for this I'd say...
Either that, or just PNG-ise a copy without the [bits in brackets] and
just have people add their own names / member types in their graphics
app of choice? Problem there would be the lack of consistency from name
tag to name tag if ppl use different fonts or alignments. Comments?
Thanks also to Kim for your positive feedback :-)

P.S. I guess this means I'm going to have to actually turn up next month!
