Grab a Kensington Expert Mouse trackball.
Perfectly Symetrical layout. No "handedness" in it at all.
I have had mine since 1997, just pulled it to bits yesterday to give it 
a birthday. What a well designed/built bit of kit.
It was expensive (about $99 USD) in 1997, but well and truly worth the 
bucks. I have used it every work day since and it's bearings, optics and 
ball are still like new.
