[plug] Debian Sarge and Evolution

G'day all,

Just a different way to do things I guess..
I need to run Evolution on my laptop.
My laptop is running Debian Testing and under this Evolution is
uninstallable.
After fighting with it for a few days I had an idea.
I installed uml, ran up a vanilla debian woody in the uml image and
installed evolution under that.
It does not pollute my main system with libs or deps I don't need elsewhere.
I have a passwordless login setup from my uml image to the host machine
and by adding these 2 lines to my .bashrc in the UML image, I still get
secure access control on my X session but I can run anything I like in
the debian woody image :p)

ssh bklaptop xauth extract - bklaptop:0.0 | xauth merge -
         export DISPLAY=bklaptop:0.0

Perhaps it may help somebody at some point :p)

I actually set the UML image up so I can compile up fresh
MozillaFirebird builds that will run on woody for a mate of mine. Turns
out it's more handy than I thought :p)

Brad
