[plug] ALSA and 2.6 kernel

Hello,

I'm running Sid with the kernel image installed for 2.6test7 (yes I
realise that is very old! (; ) and now I'm about to start trying to get
ALSA to work... again.

I believe that I need to have (at minimum) CONFIG_SOUND enabled in the
kernel. Any idea if this would be enabled in the kernel image from the
sid apt source?

How can I find out?

Last time I tried to compile the kernel I made a big mess of it but now
that I have mastered partimage I should create an image as part of my
change management process in case I need to roll-back.
