Ooh look, there's lots more files under /proc/2551, I wonder what
that status file says...

min:~# cat /proc/2551/status
Name:   kdm
State:  S (sleeping)
Tgid:   2551
Pid:    2551
PPid:   2533
etc...

Now I know what all those numbered directories under /proc are for!
