A have a very strange problem with one of my customers machines where
Windows writes sound data straight to the harddrive instead of sending
it to the sound card. One of my sub-contractors had seen the same issue
before and I remembered him telling me about it which is what led be to
suspect the same thing was happening here.

I'm just wondering if anyone may have seen this issue with Windows XP
and have a theory as to why this happens. I'd like to blame windows but
it could be something like an BIOS/ACPI issue.
