Title: A Gentle Introduction to Linux

 When: Tuesday, 10th August 2004 (tonight), 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Where: Central TAFE Lecture Theatre, Northbridge

  Who: James Levin, Michal Wirski, Leon Brooks (and others :)

 What: This is a special post-Installfest talk, aimed at introducing
       newcomers to their Linux systems. Topics to be covered
       include navigating the shell, basic system
       administration, and protecting yourself with a firewall.
       A large part of the talk will be distribution neutral,
       though upon request, distribution-specific demonstrations
       may be done.

Prior to the seminar, will be the usual gathering of the hungry at
the Plaka, on James Street - where you can utilise your PLUG
membership card to obtain a free drink with any kebab.
