Has nothing to do with "fairness" and everything to do with plain old capitalist supply and demand.
While the demand is high (new release that not many have seen) then you can afford to price high to
meet a certain volume of sales.
As the demand drops you need to drop the price to keep the same volume. Pretty simple.
It's your choice as to when you make the purchase and what you want to pay really.
I do the same with PC hardware. Always purchase 1 or 2 generations behind and pay far less than on
the bleeding edge.
