 From my brief use of CDE ... only a little bit. I like some of what it 
does. I have at various points used XFCE4, an open source window manager 
and basic desktop environment that has some similarities with CDE. On 
the other hand, I never had to find out what, if any, file manager is 
provided by CDE (xterm == file manager for me), or had to try to 
configure it.
