I am using Debian Testing/Unstable.
I have XFree86 installed using the nvidia driver.

I have 'Load "dri"' as well as a DRI section in my XF86Config-4 file
and the log shows that it has loaded XFree86-DRI extension
(II) LoadModule: "dri"
(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a
(II) Module dri: vendor="The XFree86 Project"
(II) Loading extension XFree86-DRI

The log also shows that this may not have worked with the nvidia driver

Symbol __glXActiveScreens from module
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a is unresolved!
Symbol __glXActiveScreens from module
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a is unresolved!

and when I try to run some screen savers it tells me that the extension
is missing (but it still runs.)

$ /usr/lib/xscreensaver/solarwinds --cosmicstrings
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".

Any ideas?
