Looks like it may not be all smooth sailing.

Linux 1394b compatibility is still on their to-do list. Hmm..

Why exactly is it that you can write a driver for Windows 98 but in
Linux you need to hack the kernel?

I'm sure though that the Linux support will be wayyy better though when
it does come out.
