Eric Raymond has a rant on /. about CUPS. All I can say is HALLELUYAH!

This exactly mirrors the trauma I have felt with CUPS. My solution though was to just xforward OO.org from the desktop machine (with the locally working CUPS server - to a nw printer) to my laptop.

OK, clumsy, but it works. Not really using CUPSD though. Will give ESR's solution a lash!

And I had thought it was ME doing something wrong. *whew*
